SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria (D-Merced) introduced the Stop Super Speeders Act, AB 2276. It would establish a statewide pilot program requiring reckless speeders to install active Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) devices in their vehicles before getting back on the road.

Assemblywoman Soria Introduces Bill to Address Pet Overpopulation Crisis in California, AB 2010

SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria (D-Merced) introduced AB 2010, which will expand access to high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter services for California pet owners and shelters. It will also allow the use of Mobile Animal Sterilization Hospital (MASH) clinics. February is National Spay and Neuter Awareness Month, a campaign dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation, and shelter overcrowding by encouraging the sterilization of cats and dogs before spring.

Assemblywoman Soria Introduces Distressed Hospital Loan Program 2.0

SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria (D-Merced) introduced AB 1923, an update and new round of $300 million in funding to the Distressed Hospital Loan Program (DHLP), which was created in 2023 to help re-open Madera Community Hospital and prevented other hospitals throughout the state from closing.
